“…God pulled me out of my old lifestyle, I want to show others what it’s really means to serve and have a relationship with God.”

girl smileI grew up in California in a home of drugs and violence. I thought I lived a normal life, having cops harassing my home, & barely any food to eat. At age 12, we were evicted and stayed wherever we could. I moved over 25 times in the span of one year. During this, my mom had told us that she would “be right back”; I didn’t hear from her for two years. I became a very angry and depressed. When I was 15, I was invited to a conference in AZ and gave my life to Jesus Christ. I now desire to share my experiences with others. I believe that God is going to use every person that attends Spiritual Boot Camp (SBC). After God pulled me out of my old lifestyle, I want to show others what it’s really means to serve and have a relationship with God.

“I grew up in church and knew about God but when I came to Spiritual Boot Camp, I met God in a real way.”

girl smileWhen I was 16, I came from my hometown in Georgia out to Phoenix, AZ for Spiritual Boot Camp. I grew up in church and knew about God but when I came to Spiritual Boot Camp, I met God in a real way. I felt the call of God on my life to go into full time ministry. After I graduated high school, I moved out to Arizona. I have been working in full time ministry for almost 4 years and I have seen God work in miraculous ways. I appreciate the support I have received to go to SBC so I can assist this next generation of upcoming leaders who are going on this life-changing trip.

“I believe that I will learn many valuable things that I will be able to apply to my life for many years to come.”

girl smile I am 16 years old and have grown up in church all my life. But as I got older, I got further and further away from God. Anger and bitterness took root in me. After a few years I went into an accountability home where I encountered some of my biggest struggles. Since then, I have rededicated my life back to God. I want to go to Spiritual Boot Camp because I believe that I will learn many valuable things that I will be able to apply to my life for many years to come.

“God used me to comfort kids that had gone through what I had gone through.”

girlI was raised a Christian. My parents were married, I got good grades and was involved in many extracurricular activities. My father had an affair on my mom, which split my family. Everything went down hill from there. I went into depression, and dropped out of school. I basically quit life because I couldn’t deal with it. I went to many doctors, and was prescribed a lot of medication, but nothing helped. Last year, I was sent to Arizona to get treatment. I went to Spiritual Bootcamp last year and had an amazing time! God used me to comfort kids that had gone through what I had gone through. Seeing their pain and tears made me so thankful that God had worked such miracles in my life. It was awesome! I would love to participate in Spiritual Bootcamp again this year!

“God has changed my whole perspective on life. He has delivered me from addiction, depression, anger, offense, and so much more.”

girlWhen I was 9 years old my mother committed suicide. That led to a lot of depression and anger. At 15, I started drinking alcohol and smoking weed to forget about the pain from my mother’s death. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and I started doing cocaine and ecstasy. I got addicted to cocaine and started not caring about school, friends and even my family. I decided I needed to get help so I came here to Arizona. The second day I was here I gave my life to the Lord. God has changed my whole perspective on life. He has delivered me from addiction, depression, anger, offense, and so much more. I want to go to Spiritual Bootcamp this summer because I want to get to that next step in my walk with God. I want to be more intimate with my relationship

“I have been to SBC two times before and each time I went, something changed.”

girlHi my name is Isaiah, I would like to go on Spiritual Boot Camp because I would like God to stretch my character even more. I have been to SBC two times before and each time I went, something changed. First I started to read my Bible everyday without skipping a day. Then I started to pray on my own. It has helped develop my character and through me my brothers’ and sister’s character. I started to pray like never before and when I would pray for people God would use me in a way so powerful that I would change the life of the person I would pray for. I want to join SBC to have another life changing experience. I want to go so that God can use me in extraordinary ways.

“…this year’s SBC…is going to be a time for me to draw closer to God and become equipped with the tools necessary to change the world.”

girlHi my name is Evan. I was born and raised in French Camp, MS. As a teenager I was very rebellious and loved to party. I fell in to the fast life very quickly and was addicted to crystal meth and crack cocaine. It was only by accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior that I was set free. I am so excited to be able to go on this year’s SBC because it is going to be a time for me to draw closer to God and become equipped with the tools necessary to change the world.
